Making moulds and structures to work on is sometimes very complex if the shapes of the craft are complex. This is the case with the Wider Cat 92, for which we dealt with the dimensioning of the metal frame for on-board work. The complex frame, consisting of several tiers of stairs and gangways, was dimensioned using the’FEM analysis and current regulations for frames and work scaffolding. The quick and precise response provided by the FEM gave the site the opportunity to purchase the materials and erect the scaffolding in record time and at low cost.
