Zero13 was founded with the aim of offering a new vision in ship design and engineering, combining innovation and technical expertise.
Founded by engineers with an established background in the industry, the firm is now a benchmark for the design of yachts, commercial vessels and industrial applications.

Emilio D'Onofrio
Naval Architect and Naval Engineer - Italy
Emilio D'Onofrio is a naval engineer and yachtsman, a graduate of the University of Genoa. He has worked on major projects such as the INSix (Boat of the Year 2019) and the first 70-footer by ICE Yachts, designed with Studio Felci. He deals with hulls, structural dimensioning and advanced materials, combining his technical activity with teaching in the Masters in Yacht Design at Politecnico di Milano (POLI.design). With a past as a surveyor at RINA, he now collaborates with ENAVE on the CE marking of pleasure boats.
Luca Mauro
Naval architect - italy
Luca Mauro is a nautical and naval engineer with over 20 years of experience in the design of pleasure craft and naval vessels. For more than 10 years he has worked as a researcher at CNR-INSEAN in Rome, where he works on optimising propellers and hull lines for both military and civil applications. He collaborates with major Italian and international brands in design and operational management during the construction phases. Since 2012 he has been writing for Nautica Editrice, where he edits the Nauticontest column and develops technical content for the sector. He is ISIPM-Base and PMI-PMP® certified, with training in Project Management at the LUISS Business School, and is also involved in technical communication and the promotion of innovative projects in the nautical world.
Mehrdad Nikkhou
CFD & FEM Engineer - Iran
Mehrdad Nikkhou is an engineer specialising in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applied to naval hydrodynamics. A graduate of Turin Polytechnic, he works with Zero13 Naval Design and Consultancy, where he deals with hydrodynamic resistance prediction, hull optimisation and stability analysis. He uses advanced simulation and numerical modelling techniques to improve vessel performance, with a focus on drag prediction, mesh adaptivity and accuracy of results. Passionate about fluid dynamics and applied research, he contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions for modern ship design.
EZGI MUNIPOGLU
Naval Architect and Engineer - Turkey
Ezgi Munipoglu is a yacht designer with a solid academic background in architecture and naval design. After graduating in Architecture, he continued his path with a Master in Yacht and Vessel Design at the University of Genoa, integrating technical skills and design sensitivity. After various professional experiences between architecture and yacht design studios, he now holds the position of yacht designer within the studio, where he works daily with ship owners, engineers and designers. His communication skills facilitate coordination between the different figures involved in the design process.
