RCO YACHTS is a new emerging Polish shipyard specialising in the construction of catamarans. With years of experience in industrial aluminium and steel construction, CEO MARCIN SUBSKIZ decided to implement his own industry by combining it with his passion for boating. The main request was to redefine the concept of performance and perceived luxury, combining it in a simple but unique and distinctive design. Lorenzo Guadagnucci is the signature behind the design of the exterior and interior of the new RCO52: creating a catamaran in which functionality, aesthetic value and recognisability come together in a simple but distinctive stylistic language. The naval architecture has been carefully studied to guarantee maximum performance under sail and motor with contained or hybrid engines, paying particular attention to the management of on-board weights. The structural spider has been optimised and analysed using FEM to obtain maximum strength with the lowest possible thicknesses and sections. The sail plan and deck have been designed to have a high degree of ease of manoeuvre, especially with a smaller crew, without sacrificing maximum sailing performance. The simplicity of the aesthetic lines, the stylistic choices in the interiors and exteriors make this project unique and unmistakable in the multihull market.
